gclidThe Google Click Identifier. Google appends it automatically to ad landing pages so a click can be matched to a later conversion. It encodes an opaque reference to that specific click.
Safe to remove? Yes. gclid is used for tracking and reporting only — deleting it does not change the page you land on. Strip it before sharing a link to keep it clean and private.
